GENERAL TERMS

• Available to South African residents. Proof of residency may be requested; In the instance that residency cannot be proven Rack rates will apply
• Valid for reservations made to travel within 21 days of confirmation
  • For bookings travelling beyond 21 days – rates on application
  • Any changes in travel dates, the available rates for that period will be applicable
•  Any bookings done on the SA resident rate can be held for 48 hours maximum
• Not applicable over Long weekends. Easter period and seasonal holidays
• Subject to a minimum 2-night stay
• Rates are per person per night sharing
• *The Little Saseka rate of R9,000 per person per night does not include a private vehicle or private meals. This is only applicable on our standard rates.
• Rates are inclusive of VAT
• A 50% single supplement is applicable
• Payment
  • 50% deposit required at time of reservation
  • Balance payable 30 days prior to arrival
  • 100% payment required if booked within 30 days of travel
• Cancellation
  • 50% cancellation applies if cancelled outside 31 days
  • 100% cancellation if cancelled within 30 days of arrival
  • No cancellation fees if cancelled due to Covid-19 travel restriction

RATES INCLUDE

• Accommodation
• All meals
• Morning / afternoon game drives and walks
• Saseka, Simbambili and Game Lodge
  • include all local drinks (soft drinks, house wine, selection of local beers, local spirits). The rate excludes premium brands and craft gins
  • If booked on a reduced rate or special – drinks are NOT included

• All beverages excluded Jackalberry Lodge (and Saseka / Simbambili / Game Lodge if booked on a reduced rate or special)
• Premium brands and craft gins
• Curio, spa treatments and laundry
• Gratuities
• Conservation fee & TOMSA levy
• Airstrip landing fees
• Transfers

CHILDREN POLICY

• Children of all ages are welcome however we will only allow triples subject to availability.
• Children under 6 years of age are not permitted on game drives – babysitters can be arranged at an additional charge.
o To guarantee a game drive for children, a private vehicle should be booked (subject to availability) at an additional cost of R12,500 per day for 2023 and R13,500 for 2024.
• Should two adults be travelling with 1 child under the age of 12 years, a triple room may be requested (Triple rates may apply on application).
o The child in this instance would pay 50% of the adult rate.
• Should there be two adults and two children travelling, we would need to split them into 1 x adult and 1 x child in each room.
o In this case, the child would pay 75% of the adult rate.
• Should there be 2 adults and 3 children under the age of 12 travelling,
o the children can share a suite (triple) and pay 50% each of the adult rate. (Triple rates may apply on application).

LEVIES AND FEES 2024

Thornybush Private Nature Reserve
• A fee of R450 per person per day will be an additional charge. The fee covers the following levies:
➢ Community levy
➢ Conservation levy
➢ TOMSA levy

Sabi Sand Nature Reserve
• A fee of R550 per person per day will be an additional charge. The fee covers the following levies:
➢ Community levy
➢ Conservation levy
➢ TOMSA levy
• Sabi Sand Gate Fee is payable direct at Gowrie Gate (for guests staying at Simbambili)
➢ light vehicle entry fee R330 (TBC)
➢ per person entry fee R150 (TBC)

Aruthusa Airstrip :

Pre-Flight Procedure
1. All flights must be communicated to Arathusa Safari Lodge 24 hours before they are due to land
2. The following information is required: aircraft details; ETA; number of passengers; passengers’ destination lodge – emailed to accounts@arathusa.co.za and manager@arathusa.co.za
3. The Runway Indemnity, Waiver and Disclaimer must then be completed, and the signed form emailed to manager@arathusa.co.za
4. The per-person landing fee is ZAR 1,000, with a maximum charge value of R 4,000 per aircraft. Please provide an email address for billing. Kindly note the 2024 per-person landing fee is ZAR 1,100 and capped at R4,400 per aircraft
5. Plane overnight fee is ZAR 1,000 per night (2024 overnight fee is ZAR 1,100 per night)
6. Runway operating times are between 11h00 and 15h00, daily

Elephant Plains – Airstrip Charges :

Pre-Flight Procedure
1. All flights be communicated to Elephant Plains Game Lodge 24 hours before they are due to land.
2. The following information is required: aircraft details, ETA, number of passengers, passengers destination lodge – emailed to reservations@elephantplains.co.za and operations@elephantplains.co.za
3. Runway operating times are between 11h00 and 15h00, daily.
4. The fee to use our airstrip is R 240.00 per passenger one way (VAT inclusive).
